Held offers expanded apparel sizing to ensure that every rider can find the perfect fit. These sizing options can be overwhelming so here is a detailed breakdown of how the size charts work. Please note that taking accurate measurements for apparel is best done with a soft measuring tape and the help of a second person.
When looking at the size charts you will see four measurements. Measurement "A" is the circumference of the chest and is taken at the widest part directly under the armpits. Measurement "B" is the circumference of the waist and is taken at the narrowest part of the torso above your navel with your body relaxed. Measurement “C” is the circumference of the hips and is taken around the widest part of your hips and seat area where the bottom of the jacket will sit. Measurement “D” is the leg length and taken from the crotch to the point on the ankle where you want the pant to end.
Since this is motorcycle gear, take your riding position into consideration when making these measurements. The cut of the gear is also tailored to its intended use so a sport suit will fit more snug than a touring or rain suit in the same size.
Start by comparing your measurements to the regular sizing. These are broken down into Men's and Women's size runs. Men’s are identified with simple letter sizing: S, M, L… and for Women’s the letter D precedes the letter sizing D-S, D-M, D-L...
The Tall option for both Men's and Women's are preceded by the letter L. Tall sizes are for riders longer arms, legs, and torso compared to the circumference measurements. Men's will show L-S, L-M, L-L... while Women's will show L-DS, L-DM, L-DL...
The Short option for both Men's and Women's are preceded by the letter K. Short sizes are for riders with shorter arms, legs, and torso compared to the circumference measurements. Men's will show K-S, K-M, K-L... while Women's will show K-DS, K-DM, K-DL...
The Relaxed option for both Men's and Women's are preceded by the letter B. Relaxed sizes offer much more room in the chest, waist, and hip areas while maintaining similar arm and leg measurements compared with the Short option. Men's will show B-S, B-M, B-L... while Women's will show B-DS, B-DM, B-DL...
It is important to note that not all styles are offered in all these size options. The available sizes are listed at the top of the product page.
