Held offers expanded glove sizing to ensure that every rider can find the perfect fit. These sizing options can be overwhelming so here is a detailed breakdown of how the size charts and naming conventions work. When looking at the size charts you will see two measurements. Measurement "A" is the circumference of the hand and is taken at the widest part of the palm and includes the knuckles when wrapping around the back of the hand. Measurement "B" is the length of the hand and is taken from the first fold of the wrist all the way to the point of the middle finger.
Sport or race gloves are sized to fit more tightly than a touring or winter glove. You may find that a size 9 fits differently on your hand if it is a sport glove vs a winter glove.
Start with standard sizing, these are broken down into Men's and Women's size runs and are identified with a simple number 6, 7, 8... for Men's sizes and the letter D preceding a simple number in Women's sizes D-6, D-7, D-8... We have added examples of US (S,M,L) sizing to the charts where applicable to simplify the standard sizing.
Next comes the Long option for both Men's and Women's. Long gloves are for riders with longer fingers and/or narrower palms. Long option sizes are identified with by the letter L preceding the standard sizes. Men's will show L-6, L-7, L-8... while Women's will show L-D6, L-D7, L-D8...
Last is the Short option for both Men's and Women's. The Short option is for riders with wider palms and/or shorter fingers. Short option sizes are identified by the letter K preceding the standard sizes. Men's will show K-6, K-7, K-8... while Women's will show K-D6, K-D7, K-D8...
It is important to note that not all gloves are available in Long and Short options or Men's and Women's size runs. The available sizes are listed at the top of the product page for each different glove.
